In case you haven’t heard, the two beautiful yellow wood trees that are in front of the church will be cut down Wednesday, at around 11 am. These trees were planted by famed botanist Asa Gray and have graced the front of the church for centuries. The church has made the decision to cut them based on the decay and fungus that creates a safety hazard for passersby.
The children have been talking about the trees a bit today and will take some time to watch tomorrow if the day allows. Pictured here, the Green Dragonfly and Blue Otter Extended day Groups joined nearby to have a picnic and talk about all the great things that the trees has to offer.
They will be missed.
